The special oil from the knobby ginger root has been used for centuries. In Sanskrit time it was used by Ayurvedic doctors and is today known for its anti-inflammatory healing properties and high levels of antioxidants.

In India ginger is often used in Mayo rituals, where the bride participates in a 7-day beauty ritual with several oils and masks. Every Indian family has their own special recipe for their beauty remedies, but ginger is always found in every recipe.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil contains a high level of Omega 3, 6, and 9, Vitamin E, and minerals. These fatty acids and vitamins help the skin produce collagen and heal sun damage. The hemp seed oil was originally used by the Native Americans and brought to Europe by C. Columbus.

In the 1800s the oil was recognized for its positive effect on the skin and became a widely used beauty remedy, especially in the USA. The oil is today recognized for its healing effect on the skin and human health.

Mango butter is lighter than other kinds of butter, yet still extremely moisturizing. It is healing for the skin because of its high levels of Omega 3, 6, and 9, Vitamin A(very high), C and E, and several minerals.

This butter can protect the skin against pollution damages and signs of stress in the face. It is calming and can heal acne and decrease the appearance of scars. Sarah Elahi has been using raw mango butter on her own son’s skin since he was a baby as they have done in central Africa through centuries.

Pink & Green Clay

French pink clay is milder than the green and brown clays you will often find in beauty products. The pink clay contains a high level of ions and is a mild exfoliant, yet still very calming.

This type of clay is suitable for most skin types compared to other clays. When comparing green clay with the french pink clay, the green clay offers a deeper cleanse due to its many minerals; Calcium, Silica, and Zinc.

Its significant green color comes from the clay’s content of algae. This type of clay is recommended for troubled, acne-prone skin and is highly effective when it comes to removing dead skin cells.

It was the Egyptians and their vanity that originally introduced charcoal as a beauty ingredient. In modern skin cosmetics charcoal is used for a deep cleanse and disinfectant detox.

This antibacterial minimizes the build-up of the skin's waste products. PIO’s raw charcoal comes from coconut only and is made without any chemical processes. Most other charcoal products come from animal bone, but PIO's raw charcoal is 100 % vegan.

The Irish doctor Robert McCarrison was in 1920 on a mission in the Valley of Hunza in Pakistan. Here he discovered that the population was extraordinarily healthy and lived for a long time.

As he examined the population’s dietary intake, he discovered that their high intake of apricots was the reason behind it. Today apricot oil is an important ingredient in modern skin cosmetics, due to its high levels of Vitamin A, B, C, and E and lots of minerals in the sweet orange fruit.

This butter claims its status from Cleopatra, who allegedly used Shea for her skin and hair. It is grown in West and East Africa and is a solid part of skincare and foods in many traditional African tribes. It contains high levels of A, E, and F vitamins accompanied by Omega 3 and 6.

Shea butter is calming, regenerative, and healing. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, which is why it is recommended for acne-prone skin. Also, clients dealing with rosacea can use this even though fatty ingredients are normally not recommended for this.

It was Princess Anne-Marie de la Tremoille of the city Neroli who discovered this oil. She used it whenever possible; on her skin, her clothes, etc. It was later introduced in a perfume in the 17th century in Madrid.

Essential authentic Neroli oil is today one of the most expensive oils in the world. A liter of this potent oil can easily cost you 40.000 EUR. This is Sarah Elahi’s absolute favorite oil and is “the greatest invention in cosmetics ever”.

It has an extremely high level of antibacterials and it is packed with antioxidants that keep the skin cells alive by diminishing free radicals. The ultimate youth-restoring ingredient.
